De Ateliers congratulates former participant Charlott Weise. She is one of the 3 winners of the Royal Prize for Painting 2020, awarded by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander in the Royal Palace on Dam Square, Amsterdam, on October 8th, 2020. Each winner is granted with 9.000 euro. As the King spoke in his ceremonial speech, ‘During the past half year, we could have all experienced how it feels when culture vanishes from our lives. Art is oxygen for the heart en food for thought. I admire how artists maintain their spirit. Therefore they need our support.’
