Former participant of De Ateliers Janine van Oene is one of the four recipients of the Royal Award for Modern Painting 2017. The prize of €6.500 was awarded to her by King Willem-Alexander on Friday, October 6th, at the Royal Palace on Dam square in Amsterdam. An exhibition of paintings by Janine van Oene and by twenty other nominees is on view in the Royal Palace until November 5th. Nominees include (former) participants of De Ateliers Ricardo van Eyk, Philipp Gufler and Wieske Wester.
