Two Ateliers participants nominated for Prix de Rome 2019

De Ateliers is proud to announce that former participants Esiri Erheriene-Essi and Rory Pilgrim have been selected for the shortlist of the prestigious Prix de Rome 2019. The other two nominees are Femke Herregraven and Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen. Each of them receives a grant and is invited to create new work during a five month working period. The works will be on view at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, from October 19th, 2019, onwards. On the basis of these new works, the jury will select the final winner. The winner is awarded with 40.000 euro and a working residency at the American Academy in Rome. According to the jury, all four artists contribute to current and relevant discussions within the contemporary arts with particular and poetic modes of social engagement.
