Jennifer Tee (b.1973, Arnhem), lives in Amsterdam

Jennifer Tee, born to a Dutch-English mother and a Chinese-Indonesian father, explores the complexities of culture in a permanent state of transformation. She creates sculptures and installations, some of which function as site for choreographic performances. Work of Jennifer Tee has been exhibited worldwide: at the Sao Paulo Biennale in Brazil (2004), the Gwanju Biennale in Korea (2006) and the Shanghai Expo in China (2010). She had solo exhibitions at Kunsthal Charlottenburg (Copenhagen, 2014), Project Art Centre (Dublin, 2013), Eastside Projects (Birmingham, 2010), CAC (Reykjavik, 2007), Art Space (Sydney, 2005) and Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven, 2003). The artist is represented by Galerie Fons Welters (Amsterdam).
