Mandla Reuter (b.1975, Nqutu, South Africa), lives in Berlin

Through both subtle and radical interventions of the gallery space, diverting the flow of information and the movement of audiences, Mandla Reuter examines issues like art production, presentation context and exhibition display. Blockades and new passages, time zones and light conditions, compel visitors to experience the typically neutral exhibition space as a result of inclusions and exclusions. Mandla Reuter had solo shows at Schindler House (Los Angeles, 2017), Neue Alte Brücke (Frankfurt, 2017), Kunstverein (Braunschweig, 2015), Kunstmuseum Bonn (2014), Kunsthalle Basel (2013), De Vleeshal (Middelburg, 2012) and Kunsthalle Lingen (2009). The artist is represented by Croy Nielsen (Vienna) and Francesca Minini (Milan).
